It just looks like going to take me two months to write out my two and half weeks trip back to China, so let me fast forward a bit and just mentioned the necessariness.

Dec 12th: Still not adjust to my jetlag. Woke up late and shopped around and didn't get anything again. I have been telling my friends I felt so depressed that I was expecting to shop a lot but I found out I didn't really like the things I saw...this kind of feeling made me really sad somehow. Well, not spending $$ is actually a good thing for me, right?

Got to renew my visa the next day, but a wait number was missing. Had called back to US and tried to find it, but no response. So I decided just let God decide if I should go back la.

Dec 13th: Visa was renewed without any problem, this gives me more confident on taking traveling opportunities our company will be offering. Dinner with CC and his gf, oh, should be fiancee, and ah Cheung, they said I had changed a lot. --Yea, I know, got older lor. CC's gf had even gotten me a pair of earrings. I do appreciate the friendship we had, knowing that we've been together for 5 years and broke up b/c I had come to the US. I do hope our friendship will last forever. Plus, a big reminder to CC that I have to be invited to ur wedding wor, A must.

Last week was soooooo short. Spent my first day of 2007 mostly on bed  from the hang over the night before. Brought in a new me to work the next day, but two days later, our company server is down...hohoho, nothing can be done without the server, no email, not even accessing to the internet. work got so bored and i couldnt even come up here and update my dairy...nvm, so last week was a blast for me returning to work, simple enough for not having anything to do here-and I loved it!

Cont. my trip in Dec.

Dec 11th,

Woke up early enough to meet up my dad and his co-workers at the restaurant near by for Yum Cha. Shopped with Mom for the whole day. But I just felt very uncomfortable shopping with her, basically just because our senses are sooo difference and she doesn't like anything I picked, plus I dont want her spending money on me anymore... so I felt pretty bad just having her following around and I wasn't even planning to get anything...sigh...

Tim called and said he was back too. I havent seen him for...7 years, ever since we graduated from junior high. Then I came here and he went to London, and now both of us just came back for visiting at the same time. Met up with him at Starbucks. (BTW, it was Christmas time and they dont have my fav. Gingerbread Latte?!?!) He looked sooo different now, all grown up?--I dont think he would like me to describe him this way. He was so gentle and I bet all these years in UK had trained him a lot. We decided to go back to school and walked around. Unlike me, Tim had come back several times during the years, and he had been back to the school before. Before we walked in, he told me there would be one thing that had gone and I would be noticing. As I was wondering, and I found out that our old building was completely gone!! Tim said the building had been called to be taken down even since we were still in the school, cuz it was not perfectly build and too dangerous having so many kids running in the building...really? I wasn't aware of that at all, maybe I was just too concentrating on studying at that time...:P

We didn't see any of our old teachers thou, Tim told me a lot of them had retired already. But there's one missy I really need to see-Miss Yi, I guess without her, I wouldn't turn out to be the me at all. but there were just way too many things happened between her and the other students. I maybe one of the few really want to see her...that was why Tim doesn't want to. Well at least he's gentle enough send me home and taxi back.

well, u can tell i'm getting a little bit too bored at work since i have time to put in that many entries to talk about my long vocation.

Cont.

Dec 10th,

early bus back to GZ, Dad drove to the station to pick us up. Things looked soo different to me, lots of new things, and lots of changes. First empression was that things actually got smaller-my home, my bed...the roads got narrower and shorter...first lunch was at my dad's favorite restaurant, it wasn't that good thou, i don't really like it...but my dad does, and he's the VIP here. Mom told me he actually goes there to Yum Cha every morning with his co-workers. This kind of food wor...even worst than MN.

Spring called and said he was on training in another city and wasn't able to come back to meet with me...sad~~~i was hoping to see him this time tim. nvm la, i didnt get the jacket he wanted either...heee heee, but he had asked his friend(i havent met before) to bring me out this time. ok with me! Revolver had called at the right time. He said he didn't have my number and had called several ppl to look for me, finally got in touch~yeah~so he was the first one I met with after I got back. We met up at Movie City by my house--since I didn't remember a lot of the places, so he came all the way to meet me up there. So good he regonized 我呢个so called "鬼妹仔". Then he brought me to two different shopping malls, and we had a really nice dinner-salty cooked chicken, Yummy!! We pretty much just walked and chatted the whole night. It was definitely fun!!! It brought back a lot of memories, he's definitely the fun one to hang out with!!! I bet he's the only one can handle my "waa" all the time. hahahaha~~

it was nice of him to walk me home that night, as I was so shocked by whatever crazy stories other ppl had been telling me. The city is not safe and there're robberies everywhere on the streets.

side notes: Stories about robberies, there are two must to be mentioned. One was told by CC, he said he heard the news that there was a lady carrying a purse walking down the street. The thieves actually drove by her and cut her arm off!!! She wasn't noticed at first, so she ran after them and yelled " my bag my bag!!", then she realized the pain and looked back, yelled out "my arm my arm!!" Don't know how much about this story was true, but definitely scary enough. The second story was truely from my friend Celine, she said one night she was taking a taxi, and she was talking on the phone. A guy came up to the taxi as it stopped at the red lights, opened the door, grabbed her phone, closed the door and ran off! Celine was shocked and couldn't say a word. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!

Well, but I just kept telling my mom that, I won't believe until I actually saw one happened right in front of my face. If anything like this happens on me, I wouldn't let them go away so easily.

Everything felt like a dream, and a long one, and it still continues.

Start counting from Dec 6th after work.

Had taken my time passing everything to my co-workers, cleaned my desk and grabbed my last-min-received laptop, rushed home and started packing. I did stick with my original plan and did not sleep. I spent my night packing and finishing my knitting project. Took my mom's advise and brought back a whole suitcase with winter clothes-which found out later I needed none of them during the time I was there...

Dec 7th

7:00am picked up S and rushed into MSP, right on time for my flight...Good bye MN and here I come, HK! Plane was delayed from MSP to Detorit, delayed again from Detorit to Tokyo, spending the whole time text messaging and phoning with friends. worried about I wasn't able to catch the flgith from Tokyo to HK, cuz I only got 50 mins laid over...anyhow, flight took off one and a half hour after when it was supposed to. lucky arrive Tokyo and ran over the whole airport and got on my final plane to HK. The attendent had moved my seat twice and made sure I was right behind the empty business class-pointless.

Dec 8th

Got off at 11pm HK time and gone through customs and baggae claim-long wait. Well, after 5 yrs not seeing my aunt, she didn't recognized me when I walked out, so I put my US credit card into the pay phone and who knows how much it will charge me...Finally met up with them in fron of McD-looked so much better than McD in the US, and of course I didn't get anything, cuz u know food in HK is not only limited to McD!

Dec 9th,

Weather was so nice, I started doubting the useness of those winter clothes. Home (not home home)around 1AM, was too tired to figured out how come I had lost a day on the 23 hrs flight. but i was too hungry to sleep, hee hee...so in the following 6 hrs I had 3 meals. Cought up with some work emails and went to bed around 4. Got up at 8, big day big day! My first official date back to HK!! Met up with some relatives at MK-the point is to make sure I have more money to spend...kakakaka...Yum Cha is soo good, but didn't had a lot. During Yum Cha time, I asked the waiter, "Can I have a glass of ice water?" He went like "What? We don't have that." R u kidding me? no ice water? Then I had figured out, u have to carry ur own water(if u want cool ones), and nakins/kleenex when u go out in HK.

Done with Yum Cha and planned to meet up with Ber at CWB, they worried about me getting lost so they sent me to TimeSqure...=.= Met Ber, shopped around, didn't spend like crazy cuz I know I had tons of time, and it was only the first day!! Too many "zi yao heng", created a long line waiting in front of Gucci at Sogo, no mood to wait, went to Gucci at Lee Garden instead(which just two blocks away), no lines, no "zi yao heng", nice nice! AND~~30% off for selective items!!!!! Gucci wor~~~30% off wor~~~how often will that happen in US?! walked around, didn't find things I like, that's ok la, I still have time ma...hahahaha~~~Dinner with Ber and Godfather and some friends, Francis was planning to come, but when he heard we were going to have hot pot jau back out jor. NVM la...still fun. Ber's friend called for MJ after? not for me la...too tired from shopping around and jetlagging.

Conclude: no car is so charm! when u shop in HK, u definitely need a car to drop off some bags when u reach a limit, otherwise, it really hurts ur feelings when u cant buy/carry anymore. A lot of walking, good excercise for lazy me. Off to GZ the next day, nervous tim.
